NIBIRU / SUMER

Below them lights from the city outshone the stars above, but it was the clear night sky that captured their gaze. Four young men stood atop the roof of their apartment building with their head’s tilted upwards and their nostrils open. Neither of them held lofty ideals, or grandiose dreams. Instead their eyes canted upwards to witness their rite of passage. Every New Yorker feels that they can survive anywhere, and these four were no different. The January air was cold and unforgiving. The wind swept over the ledge and nipped at their bones, but none of them flinched. Mystery and danger of the black was ahead of them, and soon Earth and its comforts would be behind them.

Each of them chose a different method for leaving Earth. One was a passenger on the private ship of an aspiring holo-star. Another was hired as crew for a Starfarer bound for Ferron. One of them leased a ship, and the last talked their way onto an 890 Jump without a ticket. All of the calculated forethought into their plans could not hold back their excitement to finally see the verse for themselves, and on their own terms. The adventure that their heart craved would not be denied.

Spend enough time in the far reaches of the ‘verse and you will go through a crucible. After a few years tempered by life on the drift exuberance is replaced with stoicism. Instinct is replaced with wisdom. The four childhood friends meet again by remarkable happenstance. They arrived on Terra for different reasons, but quickly decided to remain. They had missed each other’s company, and there were stories to tell. Shaper stories of near death moments, and daring escapes. Laughter to tears and sore stomachs. Dizzy from drink and lack of sleep. Youth was behind them, and now it was time to begin a proper career.

Using their savings Nibiru began with a single Freelancer. Much like when they stood on that rooftop there were no idealistic visions of grandeur. They knew all too well the known and unknown dangers of the ‘verse, but they had a plan. A single ship became two. Two ships then became four. Presently Nibiru is capable of transporting goods just about anywhere. A humble organization that values a customer’s trust above all else. Never was it planned for Nibiru to become a household name, but it was always going to be the name. The Organization that you could call upon when you need to bank on the results.
