VAST is a mature multi-game community with a focus on fun, science, and organized tactics in every game we play.

History

VAST Gaming Community began just like any other, we started as a small group playing a game together, fighting back to back, shoulder to shoulder, eliminating all Terran Republic and New Conglomerate scum. Our popularity grew from organized tactics on the fields of Auraxis (Planetside 2) into the 2nd best outfit with over 200 members, 4 months running.

It became evident that Planetside 2 couldn’t hold all of our interests and began to evolve into its current state.

Manifesto

Our fame in Planetside came from our desire to know the ins and outs of every aspect of the game. Our members hosted faction wide training, science experiments and server wide events. Some of our members have been able to completely change the way the devs test game balance; D.I.R.T. created by Ph1l1p.

What we plan in Star Citizen will be the same as what we always did. Our hardcore elite will host training sessions for all members at any chance we get, so that if you are ever surrounded by a squad of pirates (or if you are that squad of pirates) you will come out of the fight with all of your cargo or theirs if you have room.

We also focus heavily on fun. So whether you are joining us for Space Orc night, going on an adventure with Cake the Space Hobo or joining us in another game; VAST is home to the casual elite.

Charter

ALL VAST members are expected to know and adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  1. Be Respectful You’re not only representing yourself, but all VAST members. No matter the game you play or the level of competition, you are expected to be courteous to all your fellow players. VAST does not tolerate egregious smacktalk, nor sexism, racism, or harassment of any form. If you have an issue with another player (VAST or otherwise), please resolve it using private channels if possible. The other players around you would rather enjoy playing the game than listen to another player’s drama. If you are unable to resolve the issue peaceably, please bring to the attention of a Caretaker. At the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun together.
  1. No Intentional Team Killing, Griefing, or Similar Asshattery VAST does not tolerate any of these sorts of negative behavior, whether or not you instigated the action. VAST also does not tolerate retaliation for these sorts of behaviors by other players. If you are targeted by these behaviors, inform an officer immediately and move on.
  1. Apologize for Mistakes Mistakes happen. We’ve all accidentally TK’ed a teammate. To avoid an issue with the above points, take a few seconds to apologize. VAST strives to maintain a reputation as both skilled players and players that are great to play with.
  1. No Use of Cheats, Exploits, etc. This also includes any sort of behavior meant to cleverly circumvent the letter of any rules. If in doubt, ask a Caretaker.

VAST strives to be a welcoming, fun place to be for all players. All members are expected to do their best to promote this environment. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in a warning or being escorted out of VAST, depending on the severity of the incident.
