VOW employs a dynamic leadership structure designed to facilitate effective communication, particularly in scenarios involving multiple units and varied operations. This Command & Control (C2) method, not solely determined by organizational rank but emphasizing positions, enhances coordination. Prior to missions, members may be assigned (in Accordance with their previously taken certifications) or called upon to volunteer for roles such as Team Leader (TL) managing 4 personnel, Section/Squad Leader (SL) managing 9 personnel, Patrol Leader (PL) responsible for one or more squads, or Battle Group Commander (BG CO) leading larger formations.
*Larger ships can be crewed and designated as an independent entity, known as a flight, with specialized functions as needed.

In specific scenarios, such as participating in a Squadron of Fighters or engaging in Combined Arms Operations, distinct positions within the hierarchy are crucial. Operating within a Fighter Squadron involves roles like Flight Leader (FL) responsible for 4-6 ships, Squadron Leader (SL) overseeing 4-6 ships, and Group Leader (GL) coordinating two or more Squadrons.

This structured approach is not indicative of an overlord mentality but rather a C2 methodology. It provides a framework for success, ensuring clear lines of communication and efficient decision-making. Positions and ranks are tools employed to enhance our collective capabilities, allowing us to navigate challenges seamlessly and emerge victorious in the gaming universe. This approach reflects our commitment to professionalism, adaptability, and camaraderie, ensuring every member contributes meaningfully to our shared objectives.
