Happy Monday, everyone!
Alpha 3.7.1 hit the live servers last week, bringing a lot of fixes and feature updates to the PU. Check out all the changes in the notes here.
Today we’re kicking off a one-week long free fly event in celebration of the Alpha 3.7 Update, and it’s the perfect time to introduce your uninitiated friends to the ‘verse. Recruit your buddies as your trusted crew, test-fly five popular ships, and enjoy the verse together. As usual, you’ll be able to rack up referrals to receive rewards, and during this free-fly event only, referring a friend who ends up acquiring a starter package will earn you a new P-52 Merlin. Check out the Free Fly Announcement on Spectrum for details.
Champions have been crowned in our RSI Mantis commercial contest. Congrats to our winning creators and thank you so much to everyone who participated. We loved watching your take on what happened following the events of the Mantis Commercial. Jump over to Spectrum and check out the winning videos.
It’s your last chance to submit entries to our Halloween-themed Pumpkin Carving Contest and Caves of Horror Contest. Submissions close Tuesday at 11:59 PM Pacific, and we’ll be revealing the winners on Halloween.
Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:
On Monday, take off in one of the five featured ships in our Free Fly event.
On Tuesday, the Lore Team lets us in on what could happen to you if you wander too far from home.
This Thursday brings another episode of our weekly series Inside Star Citizen, providing behind the scenes looks at the development of our Persistent Universe.
Friday will bring us updates to the Roadmaps and the Subscriber Vault, with the weekly newsletter delivered straight to your inbox. And finally, we welcome a new episode of Star Citizen Live, which will be broadcasting on our Star Citizen Twitch channel at 9am PDT/4pm UTC. Vehicle Concept Artist Sarah McCulloch will take us through the earliest processes developing the concepts and shape language that can eventually become a spaceship.
Eerily beautiful greetings, and I’ll see you in the caves of horror!
