Happy Monday, everyone!
XenoTheat have returned to the Stanton system, but this time we’re ready for them! The Civilian Defense Force (CDF) informed us that you’re giving the xenophobic terrorists a good kickin’, and we encourage you to further support your fellow pilots before they turn tail and run back to Pyro later this week.
Phase 1 of Ship Showdown ended today, and we’re currently evaluating your excellent original content submissions. While we determine the top 16 ships, enjoy a look at the Community Hub and marvel at the creative and beautiful ways our community are cheering for their favorite ships. On a side note, we’ve heard that the Argo MPUV may have made it into the second round…
Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:
On Tuesday, the Narrative team will publish their monthly comm-link answering some of the community’s burning questions from the Ask A Dev section of Spectrum. We also have our Subscriber Comm-Link and newsletter too for you to dive in to Septembers exciting benefits!
Wednesday, we’ll not only bring you an update to the Star Citizen Public Roadmap (along with an accompanying Roadmap Roundup), but also a Spectrum AMA with some of the devs making Dynamic Events such as XenoThreat possible. We’ll open a thread on Spectrum at 15:30 UTC / 10:30am CDT so you can ask us anything about the feature. We’ll also cross-post the Squadron 42 report that was recently sent out via newsletter as a comm-link.
Last but not least for Wednesday, your voices have been heard and we’ll kick off the next phase of Ship Showdown with the top 16 ships. Each day at 16:00 UTC / 11am CDT, two ships will face each other, and your vote will determine who will emerge victorious and who will be eliminated from the tournament.
Thursday, we’re back with another episode of Inside Star Citizen. This episode will focus on the upcoming healing mechanic and how it’ll change the PU forever.
On Friday, you’ll see an update to the Subscriber Vault and the weekly RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox. We’ve also got a new Star Citizen Live episode as well, which will broadcast on our Star Citizen Twitch channel. The show starts at 5pm UTC / 12pm CDT. We’ll welcome several developers to talk about Ship Showdown Phase 2 and the ongoing head-to-head battles.
UPDATE: As we’ve mentioned briefly in weeks past, key members of our Video team are traveling for Digital CitizenCon filming purposes. Our original plan was to broadcast Star Citizen Live directly from our UK studio, where today’s CitizenCon filming took place, however we’ve run into a scheduling conflict. The shoot is running longer than initially planned, so we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel today’s episode of Star Citizen Live. We’re sorry to miss the live-show, but rest assured that we’ll be back next week, ready to rock!
Have a great week!
