This Week in Star Citizen
April 13th, 2020

Hey, all you cool cats and kittens!

Alpha 3.9 is almost ready for prime time, as we’ve decided to give it just a little more time to tackle a few bugs we discovered with our Evocati testers. We appreciate your patience while our teams across Europe and America are working towards making the Alpha 3.9 experience the best it can be.

As a reminder: Our week-long Spring Merchandise Sale, where we have official Star Citizen swag on offer, is ongoing! You can still bag a wide variety of merch for up to 25% off until tomorrow (April 14th) at 4 PM UTC!

Furthermore, we published the latest information on the continuing development of Squadron 42, collected from each of our studios around the globe. Check the post if you haven’t read the report yet and make sure you’re subscribed to the SQ42 newsletter to ensure you don’t miss any future news.

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:

On Tuesday, the Narrative Team will continue the story started last week with Hostile Negotiations Pt.2, which was formerly a Subscriber-exclusive piece. Missed part one? We’ve got you covered.

Inside Star Citizen is still on its three-week hiatus, so no new episode this week. The show will return next week on the 23rd of April with the latest Star Citizen news.

On Friday you’ll see a Roadmap update and Roundup, an update to the Subscriber Vault, and the RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox. We’ll also welcome a new episode of Star Citizen Live, which will broadcast on our Star Citizen Twitch channel at 11am Pacific / 7pm UTC. This time, we have members from our US PU Gameplay Feature Team on the show to answer your questions about their work for Star Citizen. As usual, please head over to Spectrum to submit your questions and vote for the ones you’d like to see answered the most.

See you in the ‘verse!

Weekly Wisdom: If All Else Fails

If an extremely pernicious bug has occurred that has completely hindered your ability to participate in Star Citizen Testing, AS A LAST RESORT, you can now reset your character via the account settings to refresh all of the data associated with it within our systems.

We encourage you to attempt to resolve the issues using workarounds if possible (and of course report the issues and any fixes you’ve found to the Issue Council) to avoid using this option as this process cannot be halted or reversed once started.

Learn more about the character reset option.

Community MVP: APRIL 13th, 2020

We're constantly amazed by the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub.

Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for a chance at seeing it here!

Bigger isn't always better!

For his latest project, ystellar took screenshots miniature-style! The scenery that is created in each shot takes me back to the good old model railway days. Choo, choo, choo! Good times!
