This Week in Star Citizen
July 27th, 2020

Happy Monday, everyone!

Alpha 3.10 is currently available to Wave One testers in the PTU, and we’re looking to open up to Wave Two soon as we continue to prepare for the imminent live release.

Last week, we published the Intragalactic Cook-Off 2950 Cookbook, an absolutely out-of-this-world collection of alien-themed recipes from the Intragalactic Cook-off 2950. Get inspired for your next dinner party and surprise your guests with a Vanduul cake or a Xi’an eye!

Also, a quick reminder that there’s still time to earn your Foundation Festival Anvil Arrow Skin and Spectrum badges. Don’t miss your chance – these rewards are exclusive to this event and you won’t be able to get them any other way!

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:

Following the release of the second part of Lost Squad: Before the Fall last month, this Tuesday will see the Narrative Team continue the action-packed story with part three.

On Thursday, we welcome the latest episode of Inside Star Citizen, our weekly look behind the scenes of Star Citizen development.

On Friday, you’ll see a Roadmap update and Roundup, an update to the Subscriber Vault, the RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox, and the latest issue of Jump Point. We’ll also welcome a new episode of Calling All Devs to our YouTube Channel, where we’ll discuss Orison, Crusader, and the road to wrapping up the Stanton system.

Have a great week!

Weekly Wisdom: Buying Ships with aUEC

Currently, there are three major locations to purchase ships with your hard-earned aUEC – Teach’s Ship Shop at Levski, the New Deal Ship Shop in Lorville, and Astro Armada on ArcCorp.

To buy a ship, walk up to it, Hold F, and select the ship you want. You will be presented with a description, your balance, the price of the ship, and your remaining balance after the purchase. Click Confirm Purchase to add the ship to your fleet! As an alternative, you can view all purchasable ships from the Astro Armada terminals at each ship shop.

Once purchased, the ship will be available to retrieve from any ASOP terminal at your nearest spaceport.

If you want to test out a ship before spending a big chunk of your aUEC on something you might not enjoy flying, you can always rent it first.

Community MVP: July 27th, 2020

We're constantly amazed at the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub. Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for the chance to see it here!

It’s been a while since I’ve been out caving! by RevanParker

RevanParker says it’s been a while since he climbed down into the mysterious caves of the ‘verse. Just looking at the images he took on his travels immediately puts spelunking at the top of our to-do list!
