This Week in Star Citizen
September 14, 2020

Happy Monday, everyone!

Ship Showdown continues with Phase 2, the Live Showdown. In this phase, the top 16 ships are going head to head in the ultimate smack down, bracket-style. It’s your votes that decide our winners, so be sure to check back in each day. Not sure which ship to pick? You’re in luck! Our entire top 16 is available to free fly for the duration of the live showdown, so get to testing. May the best ship win!

Also in progress, the 2020 Virtual Cosplay Contest! Even though the pandemic put a wrench in our CitizenCon plans this year, we’re still able to celebrate our wonderful Star Citizen cosplay community in (virtual) style. You have until October 31st to submit your entry, so get creating. We can’t wait to see what you make!

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:

On Tuesday, the narrative team returns with another feature on one of our Imperator candidates in the Lore Post- “Clean Shot: Laylani Addision.

This Thursday treats us to another episode of Inside Star Citizen. This week we’re focused on External Inventories and will be bringing you the latest with another Sprint Report. Also, Chairman’s Club members should keep a lookout for the newsletter delivered right to your inbox.

Star Citizen Live will go live on Twitch this Friday, at 12pm Pacific / 7pm UTC. This week, we’re hosting a Q&A on Builds, Publishes and Platform, and we’re welcoming members of our Build Operations, Publishing and Platform teams to talk about the process involved in bringing everyone’s work together and getting it out into your hands.

Also on Friday, you’ll also catch our weekly Roadmap update and Roundup, an update to the Subscriber Vault, and the weekly RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox.

Have a great week, everyone!

Weekly Wisdom: Hidden Wonders of the ‘Verse

You’ve been to the tech-filled domes of microTech, walked the lawless halls of GrimHEX, and seen what Levski has to offer at the Grand Barter, but how many of the hidden wonders of the ‘verse have you visited?

Unique locations exist around the Stanton system, unmarked and uncharted on things so traditional as maps. Finding them will allow you to marvel at the mysterious power of Big Benny, explore the wonder of a partially buried giant, or even just make some cold hard cash with some less-than-legal deals at an off-the-beaten-path drug lab.

Rumor has it that the skills needed to find Benny Henge might be needed soon…

Community MVP: September 14, 2020

We're constantly amazed at the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub. Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for the chance to see it here!
