This Week in Star Citizen
November 8, 2021

Happy Monday, everyone!

Alpha 3.15: Deadly Consequences is hitting live servers soon, and with it a myriad of improvements and changes. Get the inside scoop on everything from the Personal Inventory to crash recovery in the latest set of patch notes here. As announced last week on Spectrum, the subsequent Alpha 3.15.1 patch will introduce the first phase of our Easy-Anti-Cheat rollout for the PU. This will prevent the use of harmful software (including cheats) in-game and create a more enjoyable and fairer multiplayer experience for everyone. We’re aware that some players are using modded files to enhance their game experience and that they might be run into issues with the first implementation, but we’ll work on the service to make it better and more robust over time.

Also, don’t forget that our Fall Referral Bonus is still active, granting this year’s Ship Showdown Champion, the Argo MPUV, for free! And, since this ship took home the crown at Ship Showdown, you and your recruit will also secure the MPUV’s Best in Show Paint, Argo flight jacket, and Argo backpack during the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2951. The biggest ship show in the ‘verse, IAE, is returning November 19 with over 100 spaceships to test fly for free, new vehicle announcements, and more!

In the run-up to IAE, we’re also adding a little paragraph to our TWISC posts (see below) that shines a light on Humankind’s achievements and noble deeds that tested the limits and made space travel possible.

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:

This Tuesday, the Narrative team has a portfolio post about CC’s Conversions, a Human personal armor customization, and resale company.

Wednesday, we’ll post the Squadron 42 Monthly Report for October that went out last week via email as a Comm-link.

Thursday brings a brand-new episode of Inside Star Citizen with an exploration of the future of space combat.

On Friday, you’ll see an update to the Subscriber Vault and the weekly RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox. We’ll also meet Concept Artist Gav Rothery in a new episode of Star Citizen Live on our Star Citizen Twitch channel at 10am Pacific / 6pm UTC.

Furthermore, after collecting your most upvoted questions on Spectrum, we will also publish the Persistent Streaming and Server Meshing Q&A this week. Keep an eye on the website, as we’ll be posting the answers as a comm-link!

Have an excellent week, and remember to keep pushing the boundaries!

IAE 2951 – Push The Boundaries

The galaxy's premier annual aerospace event, the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), starts soon, on November 19 at microTech's Tobin Expo Center!
To commemorate the event, we want to spotlight the milestones of spaceflight. Pilots have always dared to risk the cold, harsh expanse of space, soaring above worlds with no safety net to catch them. Spaceflight is about being bold and doing what needs to be done.
Find out more about the IAE 2951 here!

This week, let’s take a look at an essential component: The Quantum Drive.

The first Human quantum drive prototype was created by Dr. Scott Childress and his team in 2075 and was capable of achieving 1/100th the speed of light. The debut of the quantum drive led to a sharp increase in exploration of the Sol system, conducted by institutions and private individuals. For the first time, Humanity could explore the solar system with unprecedented speed.

Do you know what company Dr. Childress worked for?

Community MVP: NOVEMBER 8, 2021

We're constantly amazed at the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Pembroke RSI Ivory & Sunburst by MAXPER

Alpha 3.15’s latest armor, the RSI Pembroke ‘Heat Suit,’ was introduced to Star Citizen last week in numerous colorways. MAXPER lost no time and already shared some beautiful shots of the Sunburst and Ivory versions. Looking massive!
